About the Event
Josh Altidor is the General Superintendent of Parks and Turf Management for the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. He will discuss his journey from Haiti and how he became the first Haitian and African American to design the oldest Botanical Garden in America and lead the Boston Parks Department Maintenance Division. He will also discuss the driving force behind the success of the Parks Department and how volunteerism, friends, and other stakeholders help the Parks stay afloat. Josh Altidor has a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences from the American University of the Caribbean and a Master’s degree in Design for Sustainable Urban Environments from Northeastern University.
